Wow, thanks for the glowing commendation there, Chris. I like how Slim Oracle seems to evolve in images he's featured in, yet keeps a few trademark pieces (i.e. his helm and that shoulderpad). Is that cape clasp supposed to be the Psychic symbol from Pokemon? Because it's a nice touch. I especially like the yellow stuff too.
I think what makes the image busy is that everybody is doing some kind of heroic action and whatnot and that can cause a bit of confusion. If everybody was standing neutral and doing nothing but smiling, then maybe it'd be less busy. But it would lose a lot of its allure that way.

I haven't seen Mike's Oracle in so long. He's rather iconic to me. Best Mage in all of Morrowind as far as I'm concerned.
Honestly though I feel like these images are a little too busy and that there's so much going on you don't really know where to start. But then again I don't really know how you'd do something with this many characters and have that not happen. I dunno quite how to put it.
Your magic effects look fantastic. I like that thing Oracle's left hand is doing especially.
I haven't drawn Slim Oracle in so friggin' long. He's absolutely perfect for a pic like this, though. With all the different characters, the fact that he can levitate really gives him an advantage in where I can put him.
The real challenge in a pic like this is not to have everything look cluttered, and to maintain implied lines. I think I do a decent enough job getting everyone in places where the better details aren't being covered and the eye can flow across the image smoothly. In some spots that's just impossible.
