I. American Idiot

The first entry in my American Idiot series. Even though all the characters represented are never visible considering this is music, this is still fanart because my designs and based off of characters created by the members of Green Day. I plan on doing a piccy for every track on the album, including the subtracks for the big 9 minute opuses (perhaps not all of the subtracks).

This is for Track #1 - American Idiot.
My idea for the American Idiot image was to use the dark red, white, and black colors of the album cover alot. I wanted to make it look like the opening curtain of an opera, putting the spotlight on our "hero" known only as, the Jesus of Suburbia. I based the design of JoS on a friend of mine who can relate with him on many levels, well, with the exception of the drugs and the running away from home part of it. I really didn't want to make JoS look like Billie Joe. That just seems... cliche. Lame even. But expect the likenesses of the band members elsewhere in my piccies to come.
Also note that the colors of his guitar are red and blue (and white but that is not visible in this particular picture) to show that the character is not anti-American, he's just anti-American Idiot.
