OK this all started with my misreading two words at a glance and interpreting them to read as "Luigi Forever". Thank you ODG. I think you know what you wrote. Anyway I saw (or didn't) those words and this idea came to my mind: What if Mario had died somehow and Luigi was forced to step out of his shadow and take over as the Mushroom Kingdom's protector? How the hell would I draw THAT!? So I took a few days to think of an image and this is what I saw: I saw the courtyard from Super Mario 64. Where the warp pipe comes in to drop you off, instead I have this golden memorial with flowers and a brick walkway. It's a rainy afternoon. It NEVER rains in the Mushroom Kingdom (or at least I've never seen it rain there), just like Mario is NEVER gonna die (eh? eh? See where I was going with that?)! And the light source is behind the statue and Luigi, making it look like he's walking away from Mario's shadow. I also took it upon myself to change Luigi's attire a bit to make it look more like he's in a state of mourn. That and it's raining.
I used a toutorial for the first time to make the rain. I thank Kagome for showing the site to me. My best pic yet I think. Definately my best background. Love my waterfall.
Mario, Luigi, Peach's Castle and courtyard all copyright Nintendo (and let's hope it stays that way).

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
